While this day is a reminder of the progress we’ve made, it also underscores our continuing obligation. The struggle for equality lives on today in the fight to protect voting rights, ensure fair representation, and defend the institutions that make democracy possible.

That fight belongs to all of us.

On Juneteenth, let’s renew our commitment to a democracy where every voice is heard, every vote counts, and freedom is shared equally by all.
