Reform Groups Press ‘Disclosure Only’ Bill in Senate; New Study to be Released on Contribution Disclosure
In addition, a new Public Citizen study on the precipitous drop in donor disclosure by outside groups during the 2010 election cycle will be released at the press conference. The study analyzes the level of disclosure for both types of electioneering activities – electioneering communications and independent expenditures – and compares the level of disclosure in 2010 with levels of the three election cycles preceding the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision in Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission.
