NEW! Jan. 6th Hearing Scheduled For Thursday, October 13. When/Where To Watch, Plus Background And Resources

“This is deadly serious. This is American democracy. This story deserves more attention. It’s a primetime story, but it’s not a one-and-done special movie. This is real life. This is democracy under the microscope.” – Robert Costa, Investigative Reporter, CBS News

NEXT HEARING: Thursday, October 13, at 1 p.m. Eastern

This is expected to be the final public hearing of the House January 6th Committee.

The hearing is expected to highlight evidence obtained from the Secret Service that shows how former President Donald Trump was “repeatedly alerted to brewing violence that day, and he still sought to stoke the conflict.” (The Washington Post)

January 6th Committee member Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD): “There remains a clear and present danger to our electoral system and to democratic institutions. So, that is something that will come through in our final hearing. This is not ancient history we’re talking about, this is a continuing threat. … I think the single most urgent question is OK, what is the continuing clear and present danger we face now from the forces that Donald Trump unleashed.” (CNN)

ABC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, NBC, NPR, PBS, and C-SPAN are expected to provide live coverage.
