President Trump: There Are No Do-Overs In Real Golf Or In Your Glowing Praise Of The Mueller Report
Statement of Democracy 21 President Fred Wertheimer
Golfers know that when they are playing for real there are no do-overs. No mulligans are allowed.
Similarly, there are no do-overs allowed for President Trump in his glowing praise of the Mueller report, which will become available to the public on Thursday.
On March 26, 2019, President Trump told reporters, “The Mueller report was great. It could not have been better.”
On March 25, 2019, President Trump said in response to a question that he believed Special Counsel Robert Mueller had acted honorably in the Russia investigation.
On March 25, President Trump said that it “wouldn’t bother me at all,” if the full Mueller report was publicly released.
On Thursday, when the redacted version of the Mueller report is sent to Congress and made available to the public, the President’s public statements will stand: The Mueller report was great and could not have been better. Special Counsel Mueller has acted honorably. No problem with releasing the full Mueller report.
President Trump said it and he owns it.
