Democracy Reform
We have a broken political system and a corrupt campaign finance system. The American people believe the political system is rigged at their expense and overwhelmingly want the system repaired.
We advocate democracy reforms and develop model legislation.
- Model campaign finance reform legislation we helped develop was incorporated into historic democracy reform legislation the For the People Act (H.R. 1/S. 1) which passed the House in 2021 and came within two votes of passing the Senate. We are at the doorstep of enacting these reforms.
- The unprecedented package of democracy reforms includes campaign finance, voting rights, partisan gerrymandering, government ethics and election security reforms.
- We have won reform battles in the past and will fight for H.R. 1 and successor bills for as long as it takes to enact these democracy reforms.
